We want to be a church that is a part of this story.

The story of restoration and transformation.

Whatever our vision and values, the vision will ultimately always be Jesus.

VISION

We want to be a church that brings restoration to the places we are and the people we are around so that our communities, wherever and whoever they are, are transformed by the love and grace of God.

We see a church centred on encountering Jesus and allowing Him, through the Holy Spirit, to change our lives for the better.

We see a church equipped to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

This is not about building a church empire, but about building God's Kingdom.

We see a church that is community-focused and building the family of God. You are part of the family!

We see a growing church - a people empowered by God to reach their family, friends and communities and see them come into full relationship with Jesus.

We see a church that works to meet the needs of the local, regional and international community.

We see a church that is committed to growth and progress. God deserves our best. Our best is enough, just like the woman at the temple who gave two coins in amongst people who gave out of their wealth (Mark 12:41-44). But we also know that we have the capacity to grow and increase - whether that's our worship, our gifts, our talents, our generosity, our love etc. God deserves our 'better.' We see a church that does not rest on their laurels, but strives to grow and move forward in every area. We see a church that serves God and people to the best of their ability.

Values

AUTHENTIC CHURCH

Church is not a business, it's a family. It's not just a Sunday service, it's a people, a community of faith. We are a community of imperfect people going after a perfect God. And because we're imperfect, that means sometimes things won't run perfectly - even though we'll always try to give our very best. In an Insta world where we can show people only what we want them to see, we believe in being real and authentic. It's okay not to be okay. It's okay not have it all together. God does not just love you on your best days, He loves you on your worst too. We want church to be a place where people can 'unmask' and find life, hope and joy in Jesus and in community with others. We want to journey with people, as they go through their best days, and their worst. Jesus said: “It is not the healthy people who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to invite good people but sinners to change their hearts and lives.” (Luke 5:31). So come as you are. You are welcome as you are.

WORSHIP

Worship is at the core of Christianity, and at the core of Restoration Church. It's more than singing. We believe in worshipping God with our whole lives. But over and over again in scripture we're commanded to sing and to make music to God as part of our worship. We want to take time to honour this. We find that as we sing, God brings restoration and encouragement to our souls. We just want to create space for God to do what only God can do.

TEACHING

We believe the Bible is the living Word of God. God has spoken through His Word, and God still speaks through His word. We believe the Bible has the power to change lives as we hear God speak through it. Preaching and teaching God's word is a core part of our meetings, whether that's a Sunday service or other events.

MINISTRY

We value making space for God to move through our services, and through our lives. We know that if we want to live in God's power, we've got to be in His presence. We want to be able to spend some time taking in God's presence. We want to equip people to pray for each other in a way that allows the Holy Spirit to move and change our lives for the better.

The Four R's of Restoration Church

REACH
Not everybody is an evangelist, but we are all called to reach the people around us. We believe in reaching out and pointing people to restoration and new life in Jesus.

RESTORE

We believe in the gathered church. We centre ourselves on encountering Jesus and allowing Him to restore, challenge and change us.

Everybody is on a journey. We believe in walking that journey through with people.

READY

We believe in building big people capable of changing their family, social, working and geographical communities. Everybody can impact their communities through the power of the Holy Spirit. It's not for the "religious elite." Everybody has the capacity to change their world.

REPEAT

We believe in multiplying what God is doing. As God builds His Church, we believe in developing the gifts of people to allow them to go and be world changers. We believe in a church that not only grows, but multiplies.
